Inflection was a large wood and rope bridge designed and produced by Trevor Schrock, supported by the Tautology Arts Collective as an honorarium art project for Burning Man in 2015. I produced this project's lighting and power systems.
Source Energy Labyrinth was an installation Kristin Winn and I brought to Burning Man in 2022, supported by the Tautology Arts Collective. I was the lead engineer for the frame that allowed it to stay illuminated and welcoming to participants.
Rebirth is an LED lightboard I built with John Windberg displaying a modified version of an artificial life algorithm. It's one of the simplest models of a self-reproducing Turing machine, and in this form the emergence lives indefinitely based on random co-occurrences.
Sea Foam is an installation built by Mollie Bryan for which I was the lighting designer. It's a series of lights surrounded by filters with colors that shift and shimmer in waves.
This is a guitar that I've modified to simulate my form of synaesthesia. The lights along the ourside display the colors I see from the music I play on it.
Synferno is a MIDI-enabled controller for sound stage flame effects, built and supported by the Tautology Arts Collective. I was its inventor and lead engineer, alongside playing a few DJ sets to break it in.
The Silk Road was a Burning Man honorarium art installation led by Julia Logan Trimarco. I did the the structural engineering and some carpentry, designed and built the nighttime lighting electronics and power grid, then worked with a stellar team to install it beside the Temple of Grace at Burning Man 2014.
